(*/10) Oliver Hartmann, guitarist and singer known from bands like Avantasia, started one of the most successful Pink Floyd Tribute bands. The first release of this project was the ‘Barefoot to the Moon’ album from 2015 an album that even entered the German charts.
Motivated by such a positive reaction next steps were taken. Hartmann and Echoes played live shows over the past years of which one took place at ‘Rock of Ages’ festival 2018. The live show was captured and will be available in various formats in mid-March. ‘Live From the Dark Side’ is the title of this impressive release that pays tribute to one of the most influential rock bands ever. Supported by guest appearances of Midge Ure (Ultrafox), Michael Sadler (Saga) and Geoff Tate each of the twenty songs on this release is an excellent homage to Pink Floyd.
‘Live From the Dark Side’, that’s more than two hours of excellent music. Fans of fabulous rock music should consider this album as number one on the shopping list.
